Rhosebuds & Rhoers

Currently, the Mu Omicron Sigma chapter has a Rhosebud club (girls ages 8-11) and a Rhoer Club (young ladies ages 12-18). They work closely with the chapter to carry out the mission and initiatives of Sigma Gamma Rho and make the world greater.

Our chapter was the first in the state of Maryland to have a Rhosebud club!

About the

Mu Omicron Sigma seeks to play a role in helping to cultivate girls as they grow into young ladies who are well-rounded and will embody the qualities needed to be good students and productive citizens.

This is achieved through fostering personal skills and programming that is centered around scholarship, service, and sisterhood.

About the

Ages 12-18

Mu Omicron Sigma's newly founded Rhoer's Club will help young women learn about their heritage and develop leadership skills for the future. They will be encouraged to realize their dreams, excel academically, and grow to be women who are dedicated to service.

The program will consist of training and guidance in education, community service, vocation, fine arts, and social affairs. It will also provide the young women with the energy, support, commitment, and encouragement of the Sorors of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to help them develop and succeed in their life’s endeavors.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority further seeks to inspire, encourage, and challenge Rhoers to advance themselves in terms of their talents and future careers. The Sorority also strives to assist Rhoers in developing positive, effective, and healthy attitudes towards life and society.
